Patio sling chairs – Patio chairs equipped with a mesh seat sling are designed to be durable and withstand the weather. Over time, however, the mesh wears; tears or stretching to the point of the chair is no longer comfortable or possibly even unusable. Instead of replacing the entire chair, the sling itself can be replaced, which makes the chair again useful. Replacing the sling requires measurement of the structure of the chair first to ensure that the new sling fits.

Hold the side rail loose along the structure of the chair until the holes align with the holes in the frame. Tug upward on the sling fabric to remove wrinkles and to ensure both sides are aligned evenly. Flip the chair upside down on a blanket or lawn to avoid scratching the frame. Trim any material protruding grooved plastic sling, using wire cutters.
